Hi heard this song in a customers car (which i think was a homemade compilation cd) which had the lyrics something like "the grass has grown / the grass is long your hair has grown / your hair is long sounds to me possibly like nick drake / elliot smith / jeff buckley . I don't THINK this is it, because it doesn't mention grass, but it sounds similar in style and it talks about hair. The band Barenaked Ladies have a song called "What a good boy" which has the lines "This name is the hairshirt I wear/ and this hairshirt is woven from your brown hair" Even if that's not the same song, you might like it!!
