Do You Wear An Apron?

When cooking and cleaning I always wear an apron. I always have done. (Just a bog standard blue and white striped butcher's type apron). Mr BM remarked earlier that he had never known anyone to wear an apron like I do.

And thinking about it, apart from my mother and grandmother, I do not recall anyone I know wearing an apron.

Does anyone else wear one?

I'd often wear an apron, I get more housework done once it's on me, something like a uniform for me, once it comes off, I'm free from the kitchen and the housework
Not since school in 1985. I find they get in the way too.
I wear one but it's the only thing I wear when I'm cooking. My wife says my buttocks are still sexy
I do if I'm baking. Better than clothes covered in flower.
I wear one if I remember after tethering the goat and shaking hands with everybody.
Hardly ever, I too have a butcher's one.....only if things are going to be very messy or risk a 'spin out' such as in using my Kitchen Aid wand.
I bought one that has black and white squares as it matches the kitchen tiles! It's hung up on the back of the kitchen door but I have worn it occasionally. My Mum used to wear what can only be described as a coverall, and she wore a turban on her head.
My mum was a weaver - wore a "pinny" for work. Like a close fitting housecoat without sleeves.

And I had a woodworker's apron (with a bib) for woodwork lessons at school.
Barsel - don't pass out on the floor - they'll never find you!
Lol dave. it's just the wall tiles, the floor tiles are plain black. :-)
Yes, sometimes when washing up, if I remember to put it on. I've got an apron with kittens on it which I bought a few months ago.
Nope, never at home. I hate anything that's restrictive.
Yep and nothing else.
Gness bought me one of these

I assumed it was for some sort of role-play, possibly even a drinking game, but it seems I'm supposed to wear it when cooking :-(
I should've guessed that SD :-)
I don't actually own an apron and was only joking, but have learnt my lesson about cooking only wearing boxers.
Arky, Dave is large..very large. The apron is small. I told him this is what he must wear when cooking. Imagine my surprise when I welcomed our dinner guests, brought them through the kitchen to find Dave wearing, like you, ONLY the apron. :-(
^^^ . . . or Dave ;-)
"sausages tonight, honey, Cumberland of course?"
Must be Zacs, Chris. Dave has the Periodic Table above our cooker... well his cooker. I can't work it.
