Hey guys! I need your opinions and thoughts on how you would handle this situation when an email needs to be sent out to his family and a solution and progress plan needs to be made.
Scenario: During structured social time, Johnny doesn’t receive his first choice of a game that he wanted to play. He struggles to be flexible and participate in the activity.
I think the first email is to make the parents aware of the issue and ask them to help you come up with a possible solution since 1) they know their kid and his personality best, 2) you are not demanding discipline, rather, you are asking for a way to come up with a solution collaboratively, and 3) this would show that you respect them enough to ask their opinion on the matter. This will make them feel special, and ideally, more open to helping you solve the issue. I hope this is helpful!
@bobbinwales I just signed up. I looked at my profile but could not see the option to choose an avatar. Is there a specific reason you are asking for an avatar?
@emmie I am not a teacher. I am a business owner and work with many different people from all walks of life. I just answered to what is my personal opinion on the matter. It is part of my daily 'doing a good deed' routine for 30days. (1 good deed daily). Anyhow, upon my research on how to do a good deed online, this website came up. As I'm looking through some of these posts, I take it most, if not all folks are from the UK?
