Highlight Of '22

It's been a depressing year with war, cost of living, etc.
However joyful things do happen in the darkest of times so please tell me what your highlight of this year has been so far....
I guess my highlight was our family holiday to Kos in May. Two weeks of perfect weather, lovely food and relaxation with my two favourite people.
How about you?

When my 40-year-old niece came through the operation for the removal of her brain tumour. Fingers crossed now for continuing recovery.

Patsy, I've just remembered that when we took the little scrap into the arcade there was a chap emptying one of the 2p machines. Little one just went up and grabbed a handful of 2 pence pieces out of his white tub and ran off. The bloke didn't bat an eyelid!
Of course he put all those coins back in! He's obsessed with the "penny falls" as we call them.
I laugh now thinking about his cheek.

Rather a tricky one. I think it is not one specific thing. It's been an odd year so far. Quite a lot of small triumphs and pleasures, but an increasing number and gravity of negatives.
One rather lovely one is that a chap in the village and I went to see the ELO in concert in Bridlington. His wife is away working and it is not Mr.J2's 'thing' to say the least.
We had a very pleasant evening, but he refused a glass of wine at the interval. A couple of days later this chap told me why he was ensuring he kept a clear head for driving. OH had told him to take care of me, because I was all he had. We are not in the first flush of youth to say the least.
I'm still glowing and a bit wriggly like a teenager.
