Just watched the above film starring James Norton and Gemma Arterton. A psychological drama, it is based on a true story and is quite a decent watch. Trailer below;

While looking for a link to that, saw loads for a 70's Peter O'Toole version but can't find one for an older (possibly B&W) version where a girl gets an arrow brooch to wear in her beret and, spoiler alert, she gets killed, sob. Then Cwive Smith(Nazi) gets shot in the head with it. Hurrah.
Probably much better than I make it sound. But do you, or anyone, know what that old version is called or has anyone seen it?

yes of course I do Spicey
Rogue Male 1939 Geoffrey Household
It is set in Darzet aaaarh where I grew up and he doesnt live in a hole in the ground - there are a lot of sunken roads in Darzet aaaaaarh and he burrows into the side of one ( sunk because of soft see?)
I think the black and white one is a Robert Donat film
The other one is Peter O'Toole and is filmed around Corscombe. I am not sure if the finger nail pulling out is in the book
In the book an animal wanders into the hideaway
( But I am telling you the plaaaaat! Bette Midler and Kenny E)
and he butchers it and used the catgut for a bow and arrow ( unlikely even when I read it in 1964). and he uses that to shoot his nemesis. There is also a castration scene
spicey you are always whining about what I write, this prose is not too rich or ornate for you is it?
I think he even tells you which sunken road north of Bridport he is thinking of. or not

I wanted to watch this movie the other day but couldn't do it because of work. But since many people say this movie's acting and plot are brilliant, I have to watch Rogue Agent on Roomba IPTV this Sunday. By the way, I haven't been watching anything on Netflix for a long time because it seems that its functionality is quite limited. But the Roomba IPTV service allowed me to watch movies and TV series for free (and sports broadcasts). Therefore, I have plans to participate in Roomba's reseller iptv project in the future so that more people learn about this company. ( https:/ /www.ro oomba.t v/iptv- reselle r/ )
