'May flights of angels sing thee to your rest'. What a nice speech.

A magnificent speech, heartfelt and gracious, he’s obviously touched by the nations messages. Hints in it that more members of the Royal Family will be stepping up too. Congratulations too to the new Prince and Princess of Wales. Cymru am Byth.

I thought it was a very beautiful speech and just the sort of thing Her Majesty would have approved of. I can't for a moment imagine she would have wanted wailing and howling, the likes of which we saw in 1997.

She was dignified to the very end and so have her family been.
I thought it was a good speech, especially under such difficult circumstances. To my mind he seems to be going more like Prince Philip in looks especially at the meeting with the public.

On a separate note I thought Emmanual Macron made a very good one as well.
As I asked on another thread: does anybody know where and when the speech was recorded?
Just found out: Buckingham Palace earlier today.
The "flights of angels" line comes from Shakespeare (Hamlet).

HORATIO
Now cracks a noble heart. Good night sweet prince:
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!
