One doesn't have to pass the coffin to pay respects.

We visited the Palace of Westminster a few years ago and we were told that we were not allowed to die inside. Apparently, if you do, you are removed before you are certified dead. Just one of the wonderful traditions we have in the UK.

Here in Scotland at St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh - people will be able to file past the coffin from 5.30 pm. today till 3 pm. tomorrow (Tuesday). Entry will only be allowed if the person is wearing a wristband issued at the start of the queue. Airport-style security checks will be made with tight restrictions on what can be taken into the cathedral.
Waiting for hours is expected so I guess I will just stay at the TV!

just what i thought - unless they put up portaloos. I will watch on the tv, as i can't stand for more than a few minutes these days, so 30 hours is a no no.

let them have their mark of respect without the need for photo's, there are already masses of photo's taken by royal photographers, the newspapers are full of them.
