morning, Tuesday already - i hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have anythng planned for today?

I have a food delivery at 7am somewhat earlier than normal as i have an appointment at Moorfields hospital at 10.45am so will have to be on my toes today.

DTC, I didn't realise he has fish and chip places too. I thought it was just that restaurant. I did hear that he's not too popular with the people of Padstow but I don't know how true that is.

i have heard that he is very unpopular in Padstow.

He dominates the place with different outlets - actually, his son and ex, Jill, run the restaurant side of the business and he looks after his TV career, which I think his programmes are pretty good. He also has a restaurant in Ozzie-land, a place called Shoalhaven in NSW.

Back in Padtow, there is th main restaurant, the f&c chain, St Petroc's Bistro and Rick Stein's café

A bit more diplomatic way of saying it, emmie, I think he is 'tolerated'. After all, he employs a lot of folk and he uses local suppliers, so there are a lot of folk depending on him/his brand. Padstow, like all these 'havens' has an issue of affordability for local housing and everything being snapped up by emmets.

i have watched a few of his programmes but feel sometimes he struggles with being a presenter.

I know what you mean, emmie, but I quite like his programmes. Gentle stuff and always informative.
