I think the closures are designed more to allow staff etc to watch the funeral.

So folks, if you're so inclined, raise a glass to Her Majesty in the comfort of your own home.

No, they should be shut until the funeral is over as a mark of respect and then they should reopen, perhaps an hour later i.m.o..

No reason whatsoever for them to close. I doubt many had ever met the queen let alone been invited to the funeral. This is all more nonsense which needs to be swept away.
