Do the complainers not realise that whether a monarchy exists or not a small group of people are always privileged?
Additionally, I wish people would stop moaning about tv coverage. I don’t watch most of it. It’s not hard to avoid.
Also, to those complaining about the job the reporters are doing, you try finding something to say for hour after hour. It might look like an easy job but it isn’t. They have a lot of time to fill.

i would prefer an elected ceremonial president to selecting the head of state by bloodline alone yes... a president is at least accountable and has a mandate...
if that's unacceptable for cultural reasons then elective monarchies have existed in the past... we could instal one with a bit of tweaking... either that or my personal favourite - selection of the monarch by lottery of the adult population.
