Wordle Fail

Hopeless at today's Wordle. Success with Quordle and octordle though.
No spoilers, please

jno I couldn't get the middle letter but got 4 words using the wrong one.

Only the second time I failed to get it. Had 4 letters correct after the third go but too many possibilities

I have four letters all in the right order at the third guess but failed to guess the word, it was a bit random today.

Like a lot of others, I got 1, 2, 4, 5 and then failed to choose the right letter for 3!
On the other hand, I was pleased to get Wordle-app and https://worldle.teuteuf.fr/ in 2 for each!

even by going thro the alphabet
It doesnt end in LAMB - which I dont think is a spoiler

I chose 4 words which had the right 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th but the 3rd was still wrong.

Yes, I had parer - got it in 5

Yes in 5. I did try to give a small clue - we've all used one at some point in time - without being too obvious

Yes, parer was the word I failed to get. I had every letter but the middle one and tried all the other options - paver, paper, paler, pacer

I got it in three today.

I think the choice of the first word has some bearing, as today I got two correct letters which were in the right place, at my first attempt.

Barry - Yes I failed to get 'parer' by the sixth attempt. Not a word I normally use!

It's a word that gives me the heebiejeebies, wiltsman. My mother had a parer for the hard skin on her feet. Sorry

barry, once I had pa*er, I started using words with more than one of p, c, v, l etc in them - claps, cavil etc - to see which ones came up, rather than work through one at a time.
