We used to push it, mid-light grey trousers instead of dark grey, cream shirts instead of white, the fancier the buttons the better, wearing the thin side of the tie out instead of the 'kipper' but the best way to show off was with the shoes, had to be black but Kickers, Rockport and Timberland were the order of the day, and as long as you had worn shoes for a decent amount of time you could get away with the odd trainer day - Nike Air Max or Reebok Pumps were top billing - and you'd have to say you'd damaged your shoes last night and your mum was buying some more today.. Then just turn up in the same ones you had on the day before the ruse - they never checked.
