Little one has had his first party invitation from one of his new class mates for mid-October.
I am stuck what to get as a present. I don't want to get something that's rubbish and find all the other girls and boys have given something better, nor do I want to appear ostentatious or make anyone feel awkward or appear as if I'm trying to outdo others.
Who knew such decisions could be so crucial to my son's social standing? ;)
Joking aside, any ideas, including a sensible budget, would be hugely appreciated.
tenner at the most IMO and you wont get a lego set for that. the suggestion about asking your own son is sound - he's the same age and sex and might know what he would want. In my experience, party gifts at that age are just a token and could well get lost between the party venue and home, not opened immediately, or confused as to what comes from whom.
Fake tattoos, glitter tattoos or nail stuff, pens and paper, little games and so on are all good IMO
How about a child's digital camera? I've been looking at one on Amazon for £8.99, was £39.00. In blue or pink.
Or a transformer toy you can get for about tenner. Goid luck :-)
