I love animals, always have, always will and I put my dog first in my life. As long as she is happy, then I am happy. Of course it's hard to be happy all the time because of the terrible cruelty inflicted on animals by mankind on a daily basis and which gets reported in the press. some of it gives me sleepless nights. With regard to cats killing birds, yes I hate this too, particularly as I saw a cat who I feed daily as the owners don't seem bothered, with a sparrow in its mouth the other day. There was absolutely nothing I could do, there was no way the cat was going to drop that little bird, but what can I do, never feed the needy cat again or ignore it for the rest of its life ?? What about the nasty hunters abroad who kill migrating songbirds on their flight paths - they have a lot to answer for !!
