Quite so, ducksie. I was talking to a dear friend about this news this afternoon. We have lived through some dreadful stories in our lifetime, ones you would not wish on your worst enemy. But of all heinous crimes the death of these poor innocents and the way in which their killers refused to co-operate with the police to identify the burial sites these stand alone. I could never forgive the killers for what they did, not only to the children but to their wretched families. I agree with Canary may they burn in hell for ever.

I understand the emotional root of your point.
But surely what makes us a civilised society and not a large group of sociopaths, is our ability to understand what made Brady behave as he did, and not mimic his actions, dragging us down to his level.
The only way we can remain a civilised society is by refusing to get into imitating the behaviours of its worst citizens.

That's a chilling possibility, but the results are hopefully going to bring some measure of comfort to a poor grieving family somewhere, and I am sure we would all want that to be the Bennett family.

I used to work with Keith Bennetts' uncle at the time that Lord Longford was campaigning for Myra Hindleys' release. His uncle said that if she was ever freed, the men in the family would put every effort into finding her and would tear her limb from limb when they found her.
As a young teenager, me and my friends would regularly visit the fairground where Lesley Ann Downey was abducted from, at the corner of Holland Street and Hulme Hall Lane, close to what is now the Etihad Stadium. It's chilling to think that we could have rubbed shoulders with those two pieces of dirt, Brady and Hindley.
I know the family will really welcome the closure, if this is Keith. A pity his mother never got that closure. RIP.

Russell Edwards was on TV talking about it yesterday and despite all the reference to forensics, geology, experts etc, I was still baffled as to how this particular spot was located on Saddleworth. For anyone that's been there, it's huge, and to be able to be accurate and find this spot, if it is Keith, is baffling to me.
I am so disappointed and sad for the family, and blerdy angry at the way the find was reported.
