Easylife Xl Heated Airer
5 Answers
For drying laundry. Costs 6p per hour to run.
I'm thinking of buying this for someone for Christmas. Does anyone have one and if so, is it any good?

Takes up a bit of space when in use but it is better than a load of wet or used bedding and towels. The type we have is not the one that you show, which looks a bit fiddly to fold out, but the Lakeland Dry Soon 3 tier.

The trouble with such a gadget is that all the water in the clothes turns into water vapour in the house. Good ventilation is necessary to avoid condensation problems. Ventilation needs to remove the moist air, preferably to outside, and that means allowing replacement air to enter the house - air that might well be cold and have its own water content. If you currently use radiators to dry clothes and have noticed a condensation problem, then you can't expect the heated airer to solve that problem.
