morning, Wednesday midweek already, where do the days go. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. Do you have any plans for today?
I have a phone call at 3-4 or so from the hospital Occupational therapists/physio, to discuss my care after my operation, so will have to be ready for that. Other than that i have nothing further to do today
today's forecast for the capital is a lowly 18c with rain showers.
You'll be able to talk it all though with the OT people this afternoon Emmie. They may well come and look at the flat to see what you need. How many steps are in each flight of the stairs
They may well arrange transport to get you home and up the stairs. Perhaps make a list of things you want to ask them. If you're anything like me you'll think of something you forgot as soon as you put the phone down:-)
pen and paper with questions at the ready Margo. They posted a video link with an informative 20 minutes on the op, and some after care, shame i am having to do this by phone all the time, i wish i could see someone face to face
Emmie, if there are only eight flats in the block how come there are so many stairs? Four flights and almost 35 stairs equates to about four flights of eight each. Aren't the flats arranged over just two floors?
Morning all. I follow GMEB but don't post. Emmie in the good old days when I worked in the NHS convalescent homes were the godsend for people in your situation. Couple of weeks by rhe see with physio until you could manage stairs etc. maybe there is something similar nowadays
Lazy here today as Public Holiday. Still sunny and hot during the day but colder nights and mornings. Cats demanding food so must get up. Have a good day all
