Leather Coats

I want to buy my B/F a leather coat and have searched high and low looking for one - I have found the style I want but they are made of Italian lamb leather rather than cow, aside from the animal what is the difference?

And do any of you know of any good Leather retailers in the UK - Here is the style I want:
