Legalise Cannabis
28 Answers
Canada is to legalise cannabis from September.
I think this is a good thing.
Plod knows the so called drug war is lost, with the cannabis trade run by baddies, so it is time we legalised it as well.
NHS chief says don't go soft on cannabis. Of course there are bad effects for some, but is remains far safer than nicotine, and alcohol.
Legalising it will lead to,psychosis for some users, but that risk is preferable to the effects of other illegal drugs and of alcohol.

The idea is to chill out not hammer oneself. Unhidden use and tolerance also facilitates an atmosphere of less stigma to ask for help if needed.
Thank you Spungle. You are an authority on moral philosophy and theology and Christianity?
Oh yes we are all criminals in this family.
Speeding tickets, parking tickets, dropping a fag end outside M&S for an £80 fine. I have thrown a few punches in my time and been barred out of pubs, but I have never had the opportunity to fiddle an expenses sheet, or steal the pens from work. As a factory worker I lowered myself to taking the stuff I needed for jobs at home. Yes I confess it all. I just wish I had always been good and holy like you dear friend.

No I am not good and holy.
I am a miserable sinner who needs the forgiveness given freely by the Lord Jesus Christ.
As for cannabis, aren't we as a society hypocrites, when we get all high and mighty and moral over this, yet we sit comfortably with legalised gambling? And alcohol? No need to list the well known problems here.
Yes I think cannabis should be legalised based on solid evidence. A few years ago the governments chief medical advisor was sacked for presenting his evidence based recommendations to legalise cannabis, because it was at odds with the political anecdotal position that the dangers outweighed the benefits of legalisation.
