What Size Airfryer Should I Get ?

Mainly we cook just for the two of us, although Mr.Sam is very happy to have leftovers the next day for lunch. At least once a week we have the family for dinner, which could be up to 10 ( not often so many ) mostly another 3. My dilemma is what size AF should I buy ? The small 3.5ish ? Or the next size. What is your experience ?

What sort of food do you normally cook when your family visit? I'm not sure any airfryer is useful for cooking for a large group unless you buy the sort that is also a slow cooker and cook curries, stews, that sort of thing

Cooker Barry. Sometimes I make a lasagne, Sheppard’sPie, roast dinner, tomorrow we are making chicken wings and Kariage ( deep
Fried chicken marinated chicken breast á la Japanese).

I'm just me. I'm planning on getting a 5.8l as I'll be able to roast a decent sized chicken in it... or fit in a large enough pan for other things.
I gather the 3.5 is quite small...or at least that's what my research seems to say.

Brian, normally I'd agree but people are buying these devices to cut their energy bill. Stands to reason the bigger it is, the more expensive it will be to run.

Maybe - but it's no good if you can't fit everything in that you want to cook. And even if it's not full a higher power model will cook small amounts quicker.

There has been lots of threads concerning airfryers.
I'm still debating with myself as to buy one or not.
The amount of kitchen gadgets I've either given away or thrown away is too damm high.
What should I do?

I bought a mini one just for cooking stuff you can't do in the microwave - fish & chips from frozen for example. Not big enough or the right shape for things like pizza though.
It's very easy to use & a doddle to clean.

As with anything, buy the best you can afford.

It does depend on the use you expect from it of course, occasional probably doesnt matter but daily, even multiple times per day, then buying cheap wont end up cheap in the long run.

Same for size, no point in buying one that you have to keep the first batch warm in the oven whilst the others are cooked (Not a problem perhaps for one)
