I have just collected another book from the library.

And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini.

Has anyone else read it?

I'm looking forward to it because if it is as interesting and informative of the previous two books of his that I have read I have some enjoyable hours to come.

I've read it. The same sort of theme as his other books. Very readable.

Thanks Naomi. I did wonder if you had read it.
I've enjoyed all his books, LJ, although, given the subject matter, I'm not sure 'enjoyed' is the right word. They're certainly thought provoking.
Question Author
Enjoyable in the fact that it is well-written and treats the reader as though they have some intelligence and can follow what is being written. Some books I find quite (very) boring as everything gets repeated multiple times and others are condescending to an extreme.

Do so agree that the subject matter is thought provoking and informative.
tried project Gutenberg
just hammer that into the google bar
all of dickens and trollope

redoing Nicholas Nickleby
Hmm
we all should've - - heard of him

LJ. I agree with you. His works really are well worth reading.
LJ, I probably mentioned this before, but I'm not sure. I think you would enjoy 'The Bookseller of Kabul'.
