I've taken nothing out of the freezer and I am really looking for inspiration. OH didn't want to go out and buy any ingredients as he's busy working out in the garden but I think a trip to the shops is unavoidable.

So ... what's on your menu today? Currently I haven't a clue what's on ours.

agree with CG about loving rare meat - like all meats, a lot of folk don't allow the proper resting time after cooking to allow the juices in the meat to flow back, hence warmth and moisture - and in some cases, none at all! Even fish benefits from a couple of minutes.
Bobbi...couldn't you have cooked the rare joint a bit longer...or sliced it up and put in a pan for a minute or 2?
What's happened to the joint?
I’m boiling it in a pan to hopefully do it to what we like, I just followed the timing against the weight
Boiling a roasting joint
… in water?
Nooooo!
AAaaaaargh - Newqi Broon would have at least been better.....
That's what I thought, pasta. Perhaps we’ve misunderstood.

I have agreed to go through this process just to reassure everyone, MT, but I have no concerns about him whatsoever. He does stare into space sometimes but I've always done that and so has my mother. Daydreaming runs in the family ;). He's certainly not ever had a vacant episode in my presence.

She was complaining of him needing to wee a lot the other week but again that doesn't happen at home and pollakiuria is not uncommon in boys his age in a new or strange setting.
You could cut it up and make it into a beef casserole, Bobbi. I wouldn't boil it or it will lose flavour.
That should of been I’ve set it on roast in the Ninja, my head is a bit buttoned up the back today , even I’m not that stupid :0(
Lol...buttoned up the back. Is that Geordie speak? ((Hug))
I’ll start again,I’ve put it in the large pan inside the Ninja , just taken it out and it seems okay ( hopefully)
Update, I can unbutton my head now
Son in law says dinner was delicious ( his words)
I live to cook another Sunday

You're a fine cook, Bobbi, so you are.
We are having ours later, son in law has been for his dinner as he’s been to work and my daughter has gone to her Pilates class ( not daft)
Just finished my dinner of lamb shanks that had been marinating in red wine, slow cooked to perfection. Accompanied by roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, sprouts, corn contested and Yorkshire pudding. All topped with a red wine jus & cranberry sauce on the side. Washed down with an ice cold moscato. Dessert should anyone desires is Apple crumble & Madagascan vanilla ice cream.
^^^^ corn Cobettes

That sounds superb, Sharon. If only I had the energy or patience to make that effort.
nearly tanqueray and tonic time - not working this evening after yesterday's incident - as in GMEB.

A G&T sounds very civilised, DT. I don't have any in the house and I don't drink when I've got to do the school run the next day, otherwise I would have joined you.
