Can't See There Being A General Election Called
and even if there were, surely the vast majority of voters would still vote for their preferred constituency MP and not for the 'other party' just because of the chaos in Westminster. I would not change allegiance to the party I support - and I doubt many others would either. Its like asking people to swap their allegiance to a football club!

The house is almost totally trashed and the current tenants are doing their level best to finish the job to make life difficult for the next occupants.
They want to leave an unholy mess that will need to be fixed before any new stuff can be considered giving their cheerleaders in Fleet Street the opportunity to point and say 'what have they done for us since they got in'.

IMO the Tories would be insane to hold a GE. One doesn't deliberately go to the country when they are least popular. They have no rational incentive to, and under no obligation to.
They need as much time as possible for Boris, er, I mean the next PM, to turn things around. Otherwise they risk letting Nigel in.
