Seems like a lot, I haven't bought a paper for years.
Yes, I think so, though I do buy The Times (£3) on a Saturday.
They all want us to take out subscriptions
£3.50 now, gg.
It is a lot but I suppose we have 2 choices.
^ Sorry. That's Sunday's.
You could try The Yorkshire Post on a Saturday. You get a magazine with all next week's radio and tv programmes; puzzles galore; news
both local and international, and all for £2.90.
Maybe best buy a paperback with Telegraph crosswords in. (I did that a while back, can't recall starting one, nor where it is now.)

Sounds a lot! Wouldn’t an online subscription be cheaper?
They often pop up when I look for links but I’ve never actually taken notice of the costs.
I’m amazed that anyone even buys a newspaper these days.
journalists like to eat. Those working for the Mail and Guardian can't even rely on subscriptions to feed them. But it seems quite a lot to pay just for a crossword.
sandyRoe, if you'd bought today's Telegraph - for the Enigmatic Variations crossword - you'd have received another blow... they printed the wrong grid!
