yes they would and they'll tax the poor to pay for it.
I very much doubt they would , didn’t Starmer reprimand someone for being on the rail workers picket line?
And tbh, anyone striking when this country is in such a mess is never going to have their demands met
They could start to investigate the billions that went missing in lock down. Because your not going to get a proper one ongoing when most of the con club are involved in that missing money. That would be a good start, a very good start.
you don't buck your paymasters do you.
Well they didn’t last time which is why we had the ‘Winter of Discontent’.

A better question would be ‘How is the new Prime Minister go to avert a ‘Winter of Discontent II’ ?

There will be no general election and no Labour Government anytime soon, so hypothetical BS like the OP is pointless diversionary tactics from the utter shambles unfolding before our eyes.
gromit: "There will be no general election and no Labour Government anytime soon" - you are bang on there.
TTT, your predictions in the past have been wrong. Boris going nowhere, still be PM at the next GE.
^^^ you sure?
Put them into government and let’s find out.
As long as they don’t propose a mini budget like we’ve just had they can’t do any worse, can they?
But do you have a link to the News story you wish to discuss?
Amazed ToraToraTora didn’t ask for one, despite being straight in with the first answer?
TBF early on I was predicting that Boris Would lead the Tories into the next election. Once party gate and nonce gate came to pass and he went I actually did pay out to one person courageous enough to back their own opinion, that was bednobs I think. Anyway since then I have only predicted that the PM after the next election will be Tory and I still stick by that. If it does turn out to be Boris then I'll leave it up to bednobs whether she'll reverse the payout. I have been told not to offer bets any more.
What happened to your support for Penny and her lovely avatar?
When was that, 3 days ago?
You’re Mr Flip-Flop, face it.
We all know the answer to this question- the unions play the tune, Labour dances. Never again.

Tories no different. Just depends which order and whose turn it is out of bankers, hedge-fund managers, CEO’s of energy firms or Russian oligarchs?

Anyone for tennis?
Yes, they would - they always have done in the past, apart from once when they didn't - and we got the Winter of Discontent, which finished them for years.
Pay for it? Print more money and make us all poorer, probably. Not saying that the Tories wouldn't do the same.
Sir Keir is trying to sound different to his predecessors because he wants to gain credence with voters; but in the event of him being in power that resolve would wobble somewhat, especially with the fuel/power situation being as dire as it is.
Anyone yet investigated the 3 million that Matt Hancock awarded to his pub mate to produce so called health care products (plastic containers) in the kitchen of his pub?
// they [Labour] always have done in the past, apart from once when they didn't - and we got the Winter of Discontent, which finished them for years. //

That was 45 years ago. Blair/Brown never gave in to the Unions.

Are you aware of how much Quantatitive Easing and borrowing Osborne and Sunak have done in the last 12 years? The magic money tree has been the Tories go to option since 2010.
