Received my letter to say | am getting £500 winter fuel - hurray.

Now I do have maybe two months oil left - would it be wise to buy now or wait until perhaps oil prices go down.

I'm over the moon. I love my heat.

Mother used to say

"Heat before meat" and "bed before bread" - a truer word she never said.

Are you certain that oil prices will go down?
You would probably need a clairvoyant to answer that one. Brent Crude price is rising at the moment and domestic oil tends to follow. We bought ours during a dip in early September, got it for 31p litre cheaper than our neighbour who had gone in earlier, but we still had to pay 87p plus VAT. So much depends on what is going on in the rest of the world.

well no matter - it's a nice wee handshake.
Me too - thank you Mr Sunak (who was chancellor when this was decided). He gets my vote!
Remember though JJ it may be the end of December before you get the actual money in the bank.

Aye I know that Lankeel - but going by past years I usually get it in November - doesn't matter Nov or Dec - greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!
Don't forget to put it somewhere safe so as you don't fritter it away.
Remember now - it's not olive oil you need to buy
