But it shows how difficult folk find it to put themselves into serious physical danger even when they know what is occuring is wong, knowing that it's up to each individual to act if they want it stopped.

I agree, the word hero is much misused and using it for such pathetic occasions as a minor TV celeb for "coming out" is a total insult to the likes of the true hero described here.
