I have to get my new reading glasses from Specsavers, which won't take long, after that it's home to a quiet afternoon.

Today's forecast for the capital is a lowly 14c with light rain.

there was a local firework display last night, though i could hear it quite clearly, can't see that much. I am not fussed about that.

There was a time about 8 years ago in this area, when bonfire night was straddled by a week each side, with fireworks being let off from early evening right up to midnight - Use to drive me potty. Thankfully in the last couple of years things have quietened down.
