She was on earlier versions of Gogglebox with her family. Got two questions right…. Why do people go on these programmes when they don’t know anything? At least she saw the funny side and kept smiling.

A terrible terrible bad performance/publicity (I didn't see it) is always better than no publicity. Always.
it was embarrassing.
How can you go through 'life' and be oblivious to so much. Even the socially lowest person is aware of all their surroundings, what goes on in the world and picks up bits of information here and there. Intelligence is not aligned to employment, that is too often the link to opportunity. Remember Fred Housego? I watched the episode where Amy attempted to be a 'mastermind' and sat in my living room cringing. She just didn't seem ashamed, she did not get it.
She was there to promote awareness of YoungMinds.

YoungMinds is a mental health charity for children, young people and their parents, making sure all young people can get the mental health support they need.

" Why do people go on these programmes when they don’t know anything?" - Essentially self perception of knowledge is inversely proportional to actual knowledge. The more you know the more you know you don't know and if you invert that you get people who know nothing think they know everything.
She didn't seem to be under any illusions regarding her intelligence. She was there to promote a charity and keep her own face in the public eye, of course.
