T4 & popworld music performances
lately i've noticed that when artists perfom live on these shows they all sound out of tune. I don't belive it's anything to do with them but there is something funny about the sound. You can hear their voices well but the music is really faint and tinny it makes the overall sound odd. Does anyone know what i mean or am i imagining it ? I've noticed it especially when seeing Jamelia, Scissor Sisters , pussycat dolls and the Zutons.

I've always found the true test of whether an artist is good is if they sound as good live as on a CD.
If the music is faint on a television recording, it could be down to poor sound mixing at the TV studio. They may have the microphones unbalanced with the music. Also, a lot of artists mime their music on these programmes so they can focus on dancing.
