Their protests are way over the top and arguably ought not be treated the same as a normal protest. Anyway we can't have them falling off and onto, or in front of, innocent drivers. But the participants and organisers ought to be able to be taken into custody and out of the public's hair somehow. If the ability isn't there presently then parliament should be considering it.
Just read that Roger Hallam, leader of Just Stop Oil, and 7 others were arrested on Sunday and charged with conspiracy to cause public nuisance. They have been remanded in custody until appearing in Crown Court on 6th December. Lets hope that during that time more serious charges can be bought, such as endangering life.
Just keep the traffic flowing and ignore them. If they fall and are killed then that's a bonus, one less trouble maker and if they cause a driver to be traumatised by falling on the roof, sue their families.
Suing them is one way but many of them are funded by that Getty girl plus of course Mummy and Daddy.
So Jail is the answer plus say a 10g fine (Like Covid). Month inside with Mr Big in the showers should sort them out. They hate showers anyway looking at some.
Not quite, duggie. In England & Wales "Breach of the Peace" is not a criminal offence. A police officer can arrest someone who has committed it or whom he suspects is about to, but they cannot be charged with it.
There are, however, plenty of laws to cover the actions of these idiots.
these people are not afraid of arrest, being charged, or being fined or imprisoned. they laugh at injunctions and presumably also at the contempt of court ignoring them may entail. there's pretty much nothing authority can do with them.
