Earthquake in England.
10 Answers
Hi All,
I think this is the correct topic but please don't shoot me if it's not!
About 4 years a go there was a small earthquake in Britain. I was in Luton at the time and felt it.
Can anyone tell me what areas were most effected by this? Does this happen in Britain a lot? Also, if you know the date that would be great too.
Cheers

We'd just moved to a village called Kinver (nr Stourbridge), a few miles from Lower Gornal (Dudley) where they reckon the epicentre was.
It occurred at approx 1.00am and was quite frightening!
I remember thinking that it sounded like someone had just jumped into the room and started banging lots of pots & pans! Must have been the central heating pipes rattling. My husband thought that a lorry or large vehicle had hit the house, and we both rushed out to the street to see what had happened. Most the neighbours were there, all in night clothes. Alarms were going off, people complaining of broken mirrors etc - an earthquake was the last thing we all thought of!
First time in my life I've ever experienced one.
If you need any more info, let me know : )
