i have a rasberry bush that is still bearing fruit,
my question is when and how much do i cut it back.

I think you must have the autumn fruiting variety which gives fruit on this year's growth. Once they have finished fruiting cut back to approx 6" above the ground. They will send up new growth in the spring once they are 2 ft high pinch out the middle these will encourage side shoots and give you more fruit. Make sure they are the autumn variety before pruning as the summer variety fruits on the previous year's growth
