Try channel 12
It's showng on C12 on by box
I had to do a re-scan of my neighbour's TV this morning as she couldn't find Quest. All fine after re-scan.

After the re-scan - no channel 12 but Q+1 (Ch70) is still there.
Odd
Channel 12 here, but also had to rescan to get it.
I've checked, I've still go channel 12 as well.
I meant I didn't have to rescan.
Just done a rescan and channel 12 Quest is still there.
'Missing channel' problems usually come down to an aerial which isn't fully up to the job.

Quest is part of the Arqiva B 'multiplex' (= 'bundle of channels'), whereas Quest+1 is within the Arqiva A multiplex. Each multiplex uses a different frequency and it seems likely that your aerial doesn't 'resonate' as well with the Arqiva B frequency as it does with Arqiva A one. (You might also experience some problems with other Arqiva B channels, such as W, Yesterday and GREAT! Movies).

The solution is to fit one of these
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9383027
for which you'll also need one of these
https://www.screwfix.com/p/philex-coaxial-cable-1m/41720
and then to re-tune.

I bought a booster off ebay ages ago but it didn't transmit any signal at all :((
Boosters don't 'transmit' anything. They simply amplify the signal along an aerial lead, which is why you need a fly lead to go with the booster. (They also need to receive power from the mains, in order to work)

The eBay product might have been dud. The one I've linked to from Argos is a decent brand.
Question Author
What I meant by "transmit" was that no signal was passing through the booster so I assume it is a dud. (too late to return it)

The one in the link doesn't seem to have a connection to the mains, is it battery powered?
Question Author
ps - after another re-scan Quest appeared on ch 790 but "data service only".
dave - if you read the link fully, including questions etc, you will see it can be powered by mains, with an included adapter, or battery.
Question Author
anyway the said item is not in stock at any Argos outlets near me or available for delivery
Also available from Amazon at the same price

Got the booster from Amazon & it works fine. Quest is now back at Channel 12 & few more stations that I never knew existed!

Thanks for your input.
