Scrabble 2003 CD

I have just bought the Scrabble 2005 CD Rom. A total disappointment. I have heard, too late, that Scrabble 2003 was superior. Has anyone used this this earlier version? If so, I would like to know what its capabilities are.

The last time I played scrabble it was telling me that Dartmoor was in Cornwall and as I live just a few miles from Dartmoor in Devon I know where it is and it aint Cornwall!!

Ok so i didnt read the question right, I was playing that trivia game, this is why I dont play these games very often, Sorry having a blonde moment!!

Scrabble 2005 was developed by UbiSoft in France - and then in Morocco (presumably due to budgetary constraints). It was re-designed from scratch based on the game as played in France which is totally unlike the game played in the UK in that the philosophy there is to get the highest score per move regardless of tactics.

Basically it was a dogs breakfast. Scrabble 2003 is better only insofar as it played a reasonably challenging game of Scrabble but the graphical inteface was horrible.

There are no current computer Scrabble games I'd recommend but http://www.isc.ro/ (the Internet Scrabble Club) is very addictive, simple to use and you're playing against real people from all over the world!

Thanks, Voxish. I have been an ISC member for a few weeks, and have now become a support member of ISC and can play against the computers to my heart's content. Thanks for your input.
