5 Answers
The town centre hotel yesterday provided a free full Christmas dinner for those that would be alone at Christmas and then an afternoon of entertainment. Lots of volunteers Food provided free by local tradespeople. Their food is always high quality. Just been looking through the photos and everyone looks so happy. So good that there are some lovely people in this world.

Loneliness can happen to anybody. And a lot of the volunteers too were lonely people. I would love to have been there to join in. No because I'm lonely, but just for the fun. And their food is amazing!
I agree loneliness affects all ages, but it's only a small cafe, so I suppose that's why the owner chose the elderly. I volunteered at the Sally Army one Christmas when I was at a low ebb and had a great day. I met some fabulous people, who I am still in touch with, and all the people eating the lovely dinner provided were so happy. I'm a regular supporter of the Sally Army now.
