Since my previous post…. Absolutely everyone I speak to has had it, or just getting it, it is spreading like wildfire. Would be interested to know how many ABers out there have had it. Get well soon! I am on the antibiotics now as getting chesty … yuk.
I've had it for 11 days, 8 of which I spent in bed, too weak and breathless to get up, eat, 'ave a fag an' a couple o' cans!
I had a phone chat with the GP on Monday and am now on antibiotics; things are improving, but still breathless if I exert (e.g. walk upstairs). good news is that I no longer drink or smoke.
Looking forward to a better future.
Good luck to you, Smurf.
My husband has just got over it. Others in the family have/ had it. I had flu, still got chesty cough, but no anti biotics. Getting better slowly. I've never known anything like it! Everyone get better soon x
Xeronema, I wasn't going to say anything so I'll whisper it.
I am also a hermit/ recluse, and I've had no sign of a cold etc, but my 2 yr old granddaughter is coming around later and she has a cold all year round, so I hope I'm not speaking too soon.
*Whispers* Barsel, you could pretend to play doctors and nurses and get her to wear a mask :P
My OH has carers every morning. One of the reasons I ask them to call me beforehand is to make sure none of them are ill. They hate the fact they have to ring first. We both managed to dodge Covid.
I didn't manage to dodge Covid but touch wood, I only had it once and it wasn't too bad.
My granddaughter loves to play doctors and nurses. Among the toys I keep here is a case with all the plastic implements, a stethoscope etc, but I think I will tell her I'm too poorly to see the doctor today.:-)
