a sirloin steak, rare, with the rest of my gratin dauphinois, mushrooms and then a tom roasted off with a little white pepper on, some steamed cauli and baby sprouts. a wee Paul Mas reserve wine from the Languedoc, just two glasses..... dessert, maybe later.
I have literally just sat down having just made the stuffing, fruit compote and white chocolate cheesecake to take down tomorrow. I'm too tired to make the gravy now so I'll make that in the morning.
DT that sounds wonderful - make mine a fillet with a Café de Paris butter ;)
Mind you, Patsy's Curry sounds lovely. I might have to have Indian now.
OH went out earlier hunting for joints of meat and sides of salmon being given away, then came come empty-handed (and we did so well last year). My mother has just called to say she's been to Tesco and found two organic, free-range turkeys reduced from £70 to £17 each - one for her one for me! At least I've got something.
I have never tried either of those I'm afraid. From memory, OH has got The English, The One and Glasgow 1770 for Christmas.
FIL got bought a bottle of Laphroig by the mother of his other DIL after she broke her wrist and he ferried her to and from Hospital. He hated it and offered it to OH and me. Well ... I don't think I've ever tasted anything so revolting in my life. Apologies to anyone who likes it, but my God it smelled and tasted like manure.
