I smelt a proverbial rat when I saw the post purporting to be from Emmie's brother this morning. When I intimated that I thought the whole scenario was improbable, my response was deleted. Now it appears that dozens of people have been duped by the lunatic who started the whole thing off.

Ok thanks Gromit... but the Ed/mgt is only around for maybe 8 hours a day 5 days a week, so the sites often left to run itself with Mod support if any is about for around75% of the time.... these situations can occur anytime of day or at weekends. If your suggesting we want 24/7 cover it'd need paying for?

that thought occurred to me, bobb. A nice lady Ed went off for a couple of weeks in Philadelphia for Christmas some years back. She returned to find the place neck-deep in swill (possibly from the same people as this week). They didn't even have mods then. But unless we either pay for 24-hour mods or they close the site to new entrants while they're out of town, or just out of hours, I'm not sure there's much they can do.
