I am wondering how the scheme works. I only uses about £40 for both gas and electric each month for the last 6 months as it is unoccupied most of the time (working away from home). So could I still sign up to the scheme to earn the £100?

Do you have a smart meter from them? With so little consumption, you'd probably need to use all your electricity in the middle of the night! (And it's only "up to £100"...probably considerably less in your instance).
Hardly seems worth it, imo.
It is difficult for me to accurately assess whether you would be eligible for the scheme you are referring to without more information. There are many different energy schemes and incentives available, and each one has its own eligibility requirements. In order to determine whether you are eligible for a specific scheme, you will need to review the terms and conditions of that particular program.

In general, energy schemes and incentives are often designed to encourage energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources. If you are using a relatively low amount of energy, you may be less likely to qualify for certain types of incentives. However, it is still worth looking into the details of the specific program you are interested in to see if you meet the eligibility requirements. You may be able to find more information about the program on the website of your energy provider or by contacting them directly. https://spider2suit.com
