Best I can do, sorry Bella is ADD IT Up, but if thats all the clue was (______ it up) its not a good one IMO. Rip It Up is much better known to me *in fact I never heard of Add it Up before until I googled it
I would have said rip it up (if it's any help) ?
Well if RIP (it up) is right The goDs cant be right
So maybe the high band from the 60s was the Trip.
But that messes up the rinGs.
Time for a break.
Let us know when you find out what the answers was please Bella
Sure 35a is 90s not 60s group? That would maen The Grid are ok and so RIP it up would fit.
I defo prefer The Gods though as the answer to 35A even though it rules out the I in the middle of "_ it up (3)"
I don't think "well-known" is a requisite for this crossword, bobb :-)
I'm going to give you a link to a site where you can search for songs with just part of the title. I've used "it up" and got this. (it's hard when you don't have the crossword in front of you. so I hope this is of some help).
https://songsear.ch/q/it%20up
just keep pressing the box that says "show more songs by name"
Thanks the winner, thats a site I'll bookmark. I can see ADD it up on there but not RIP it up (Little Richard, and Orange Juice or was that called Rip it up and start again?).
ah, if you click sj=how more a few times you get Rip it up by Little Richard.... but I still think its gotta be aDd it up to fit with goDs
bobb - I think you've nailed the answers & can relax :-)
