You've said you find it easy to fight on someone else's behalf. How are you at doing it for yourself?

Do I need to break out the popcorn
I’m not choux, obviously, but I too find it easier to fight for someone else. Funny aren’t we?

I should, Roy. You rarely seem to have anything better to do in life despite what Psybbo tried to tell me.

I'm the same, Vagus. At MrG's funeral my stepson said we'd have been here eleven years ago if not for Gness fighting for him.
Can I do it for myself? No.
Tetchy reply.

If this Thread was more than natter and nonsense then you should have chosen a better section to post it in, gness.
Your response Roy @17:59 implied you were expecting confrontation. Or entertainment.
This was a friendly enquiry inviting chat from gness. Seems the right place.
I'm identical gness, I can stand up for everyone else but not for myself
I was with Dave every step of the way, phoning, chasing appointments, sometimes having conversations on his behalf, me... I can't be bothered ... Will chase things eventually luckily at the moment it seems I don't have to
Aye, I must be the fist ABer ever to joke about popcorn in chaatterbank, pastafreak.

Evil...pure evil.

Roy often comes in with a reply like that to me, Pasta.

Odd isn't it, Ellie and Rowan. I had an appointment last year that my instinct told me wouldn't go as I wanted or be helpful so I took Dave in with me. Thank god I did. He was a witness to the uselessness of the consultant and the mistakes he made and was able to get me better treatment.
I think it's a bit easier not to get too emotional when you are fighting for someone else....maybe?
Butter kist, roy? ;)
Only one I can eat, Choux.
gness, I am pretty damn hot in that department, but I do it nicer for other people. I had a lovely exchange with a cardiac surgeon when I had been prepped for an op and he didn't think it was necessary. I recollect using the odd oath but he realised I was right and he was wrong so he did the op :)
Good man :)
Hi Chowks _ I like you as you are

Lawyers say - "a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client".
To do wiv 'you cant take a proper view'
Doctors arent allowed to treat themselves

and here is a crimoinal lawyer trying land law and losing with a mega mega bill

Now let us all get a long nicely, shall we? I am sure no offence was intended. No harm done to anyone. :)))
I like you too, Peter.

I never thought I came across as a wilting wallflower type, gness x
It's also important to organise someone to give you a break from caring, sometimes the carers told me to make a cup of tea and go sit n the balcony for 15 minutes while they were there, and one day they said their next call was cancelled so they gave me 30 precious minutes to go have a bath and wash my hair. They could have taken that break themselves.
Good idea, rowan. But I am a one-woman band, who wouldn't have it any other way whilst I draw breath. OH doesn't want carers in and has implicit faith in yours truly. Time will tell if that is the right decision ;)
