favourite season of the year

Do you have a favourite season of the year. Mine in order of preferance are, Autumn, Winter, Spring,and Summer. I love this time of year because of the trees changing colour,cooler days, kicking fallen leaves as I walk home. Iwounder if you prefer the season you were born in?

Ooh drussila you may have a point there! I love the winter and was born in November. I love coming home from work when the sun's going down, getting out the scarves etc from the recess of the cupboard, that smoky bonfire smell, icy mornings. I do love the summertime too tho and feel a bit sorry for my kids who have spent weeks outside with no problems, only for us to have to start calling them in sooner and sooner.

Mine are similar to yours one change,

Autumn, spring, winter, summer.

The colours now in North Wales are just changing, soon to be time for the Log fire, love it, then hopefully some snow, But I look forward to spring,more than winter,new life,trees coming out,little lambs, cuckoos, we are lucky aren't we.

I love all the bonfires and fireworks of autumn (born in November), love snow too though and Christmas lights and markets and when you get the first fresh smell of spring when all the flowers start coming out.

Yeah, gotta be autumn, bonfire and firework night wrapped up snug in my winter woollies and a nice hot coffee wt whisky in, then my birthday then the Christmas lights switch on (they did it on my birthday last year which was nice of them) then the Christmas Markets open.

A fresh Bratwurst with Gluewein and mini pancakes with cream and cholocate sauce to finish...bliss!

I love the spring, when the sun is shining and the frost is on the ground when you can go for walks with thick warm coats and feel the wind on your cheeks

Being a gardener, it has to be spring followed by autumn.

I would put winter next because i hate the hot weather in summer.

I love the beauties of the autumn season! No doubt, my favourite! The changing of colours, golden leaves, and times of reflection! I rejoice in it!!!

Love all seasons really, just so glad to be here! But if I have to chose which I love more... then autumn and spring as the colours of the changing leaves in autumn and the beautiful fresh green of the new leaves in spring make me enjoy my painting even more. So inspirational! Born in February!

Definitely Autumn first, then winter, our spring is so unpredictable, some times they don't even happen and summers can be so hot. Not happy then with the season I was born in, I'm a Pisces [February] but that means hot weather for me.

I love Summer best as you spend more time outside enjoying the good weather! When the sun is warmer in Summer you tend to spend time with people more and socialising! People seem happier when it is sunny! I love being able to walk out your front door in a morning in nice summery clothes.

Like divegirl I was born in August (16th), but have always loved Winter, especially snow!

Wrapped in a warm coat, scarf, gloves & boots. Walking thro' leaves on a crisp Autumn//Winters day, then coming home to a mug of hot chocolate & sitting around a roaring log/coal fire. Bliss!

I suppose Winter should be my favourite season as I was born on the 21st of December, but theres' something about Autumn that I really love, especially on the crisp , sunny, days when the leaves on the trees are at their best for colour, aah , beautiful. Fills me full of nostalgia for my childhood. Playing games of conkers in the playground,bonfires in the garden, fireworks on November 5th, lovely!

I was born in May but Autumn is my favourite season. I love the leaves changing colour, conkers, the smell of bonfires and treacle toffee, hot chocolate and lots of hearty stews and casseroles. I also love Winter when it's clear, crisp and cold - there's nothing nicer than a walk outside when you're all wrapped up and the sky is clear with frost on the ground. I don't particularly like Summer as I hate hot weather.
