Just looked at mine for 8/12/22 to 8/01/23.

Well, a couple of our big debts were kind of unavoidable, things we needed that we couldn't wait for. We had to buy the OH's electric power chair because we couldn't afford to wait for the NHS to provide one. My OH felt so isolated, and I couldn't push her in the manual chair any more. We're managing though, and the interest isn't too high :)

My heating doesn't come on unless I put it on 20 degrees.
I switch it off when I go to bed but when I get up it's usually 17 degrees which to me is freezing.

At the moment it's on 20 all the time except when I go to bed.

Mines on all day on around 20, so far so good , the thermostat doesn’t kick in if it’s not cold enough

I turn it down to say 10 to 12 on the dial Barsel and if it’s too cold, it’ll click in

Barsel - maybe I didn't explain it well. What I meant was I never actually turn heating "off" as some people say. It only gets turned down to 16 as a default setting after house has been on 20 degrees say. So technically it means boiler stops working as house stays warm for while, but I never actually switch it off and never let house go below 16. We set it to turn up higher prior to getting up so get up to warm house.
Am worried about the increase once we come off our deal at end of April as I don't suppose there are any more deals out there to move onto.
We are £540 in credit at moment and just had £67 for this month go back into bank account. So might go into May with around £330 still in credit.

Have a look at how much of it is made up of iniquitous 'standing charges'. They're an absolute scandal that needs to be addressed pronto - they're not subject to OFGEM control, so the power companies just keep increasing them.

My electric SC is £178 per year - that's before I so much as turn on a light bulb. Not that long ago that amount was my entire electricity bill for the year.
