His cough is subsiding, and he tells me that he’s felt almost back to normal today, first time since 1st January.
Sooo, today we took dog for a little walk, toddled off to Sainsbury’s for the click and collect before which we went into the shop and bought a few things, including a couple of ribeye steaks for his upcoming birthday. And a couple of bits of clothing for me.
Fish finger barms have been thoroughly enjoyed, and a cake from the delivery from patisserie Valerie which one of our girls sent for his birthday.
Such a relief to have an ordinary day.
Like many of you, I really appreciate ordinary days lately. I really hope those of you going through stuff have ordinary days in the near future and thoroughly enjoy them.
Funny how things are out into perspective now and again isn’t it?
An ordinary day......just bliss! MrG was in hospital for a lot of the eleven years he was ill. I visited every day, a sixty mile round trip.
One morning, when MrG had been in hospital for three months I woke to a note through the door from a friend. You are having a day off. I am going to sit with B today and you are going to relax...garden...read...just whatever you want to do.
It was bliss to have an ordinary day and I will never forget that friend. :-)
