I expect by the time the US elections are complete Sadiq Khan will still be around but it is entirely possible that both David Cameron and Donald Trump will no longer be part of the equation. If they are we can look forward (or not) to interesting times ahead.

This isn't a debate about the differences between the Republicans and the Democrats, its about how awful Trump is. I can't see that Sanders or Clinton are even in the same ball park when its comes down to awfulness.

OK. Mr Trump is not a politician; he lacks the skills expected of politicians, he says it like he sees it, however outrageous it seems. In short he appears to be honest. HC is the usual insidious politician without an ounce of sincerity in her body.

It is good to see that the British politicians are just so diplomatic..... I may agree with some of what they say but I am unimportant in this world. I think that those in high positions would be sensible to ensure that potential future leaders are not antagonised by, what appears to me to be, playground name calling. It gains nothing and could be damaging. This is not to say that they are wrong in their judgements of the likes of Mr Trump just that they would be much more diplomatic to keep their views to themselves.

Read enough Facebook comments and you may also note a repeated theme about disdain for all Washington types, as if Rep/Dem changeovers were just for appearances' sake. They crave someone/thing refreshing and, ugly as his pronouncements are, they at least seem sincere.

Call the outsider names and they end up as 'the one' in top slot and you have to deal with them.

Outsiders or not perhaps they should couch their remarks to the others remarks rather than the person.

I've no problems with politicians giving their views on other countries' affairs (eg Obama and Le Pen on Brexit) but it's politically unwise of them to comment on personalities.

But I'm unworried if Trump doesn't get on with Cameron. Bush and Blair had a wonderful relationship - clot and lapdog - and what good did that do Britain?

Interesting tactic he has there. Basically saying that if folk vote him in he will want to settle old remembered scores with a country that is known to be an ally of his own. I bet that must be pandering to what most American voters want then. Isn't it ?
