Bbc Quiz : Week 2

It’s quiz time again, folks, but with five quizzes, instead of the usual three, to tax everyone’s brains this evening!

I started off win a decent enough (for me) score of SIX out of seven in the main quiz:

I couldn’t get past the halfway mark in the junior quiz though, with just TWO out of five:

Both of this week’s bonus quizzes are taken from Aunty Beeb’s ‘Bitesize’ pages (which are primarily targeted at GCSE students) and they’re both about unusual words.

In the first one, you don’t get to find out your score until then end. (To then get further information about the answers, click on the ‘+’ buttons. It’s worth doing so just to learn some fascinating facts!). I managed to score THREE out of seven:

4/7,2/5,6/10/3/7, and 4/10. Bailey busy working out which step on the stairs would be best to trip human up on. Human just about dried out now after refereeing this morning. Hope you are not getting as much rain where you are.

Decent enough scores, I think, Campbellking!

Don't mention refereeing and poor weather to me. It brings back far too many memories of badly-sloping pitches on the edges of the moors around Sheffield, with loads of players with hangovers. (I once refereed a match at Stocksbridge at -6C, with a wind chill down down to -14C. It was a bit nippy!)
