Thank you so much for the link to Julia Grant (I didn't want to disrupt naomi's thread).

When I mentioned her case I could hear her voice and see how she looked, both in and out of drag. I have such vivid memories of the televised documentary. All afternoon something was buzzing around my head and I could hear her voice. I had an epiphany just after dinner!

I never made the connection at the time but Julia was in a week's episodes of Four In A Bed way back, filmed in 2012. I searched for it but it the videos are no longer available. It was Julia and featured her Queen's Hotel in Benidorm. No offence to her, but Julia was not as smart as she was in 1978 and she had a bit of a world-weary look about her, not that I am surprised after the life she had. I can remember some of the other B&Bers and their places were quite immaculate, if a little isolated compared to the Queens which was in a very built up area and not so salubrious. Oh well, given time and a lot of prompting my memory served me right. :)

Hiya Red! I have remembered the other contestants now. All were in that region in Spain. A young couple starting out with B&B. Two men whose place was fab bit more or less set in scrub land though their villa had a fabulous outdoor swimming pool. The final married couple had a very smart place and I recollect they set out a fabulous breakfast for all, think they won the competition. Julia was very picky over everybody's B7B and wouldn't use a shower for lack of a grab rail (?).

Now, how do I apply for Mastermind now I have my specialist subject? ;)

A belated BA to The Winner. Sorry I have only just returned to this. I found the exact same Ch 4 link but it would not play for me. Thank goodness I tried yours before telling you it didn't work!
