Yuk, not marg but butter for me.
I often have a jam butty (with butter) when I fancy a quick snack.
I used to love strawberry jam sandwiches with marg. Nice mix on a scone too if you prefer marg/butter to clotted cream.
I prefer a raspberry jam sanwhich, with butter. Nice with a cup of tea.
Can't remember the last time i ate margarine. Isn't it made up of plastic? Mind you that shouldn't be a problem as most of the fish we eat these days has plastic particles in it.

Not marg. ( I heard it was originally made as cow fodder). Yes, simple can be best. Bread, butter and honey for me or, if time permits, cheese 'n chips - loved that when I was a kid and still fancy it every so often.
Beef and Horseradish sauce

or

Ham and English Mustard.
Butter. Never margarine. Just now it's with the marmalade Dave made last week. The best I've ever tasted. Could be the whiskey...or the amount of whiskey....he added. :-)
Whats Buttery spread?
Thick sliced white bread, real crunchy salty butter (margarine or ‘buttery’ spreads are not allowed in this house, yuk) and lemon curd. Or marmite.
I wasn't going to go down the Marmite path but I seriously think those who like it have seriously dodgy taste buds.
My eldest grandson, three years old, eats marmite out of the jar with a spoon, I draw the line at that, but he’s obviously inherited the marmite gene. Apart from my OH who hates the stuff.
