What Government Introduced The System Of Writing In Workplan Books And Looking Online For Jobs?

Hi, I have lived out of the country for some years and I am curious to know what government introduced the system of writing in workplan books for the job centre and looking on computers for jobs?I am guessing it was Labourbut my husband thinks it was the conservatives. Thanks in advance.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.In 2009 claimants for JSA had to fill in a paper booklet recording all actions regarding looking for work, attending interviews etc, and were expected to look on line. SO that was in Labour's time in office. I expect the booklets had been in place for quite some time. Now claimants have to sign up for an online universal jobsmatch account and the DWP/Job Centre can monitor your activity. You are expected to go on line regularly.
